Local Volunteer Retires
After 28 years of service one of our beloved volunteers, Margaret England, retired as of September 14th, 2006.Margaret spent sixteen of her twenty eight years here with the Calhoun County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Margaret has volunteered her time for after hours on-call Emergency Services, doing casework, and providing emergency assistance for members of the Military and their families. She has also served as an instructor at the Calhoun County Chapter of the American Red Cross for Armed Forces Emergency Services.
Margaret was awarded a certificate of appreciation and an Armed Forces Emergency Services pin for her years of dedication. There is no price that can be put on Margaret's years of selfless service. We at the American Red Cross owe Margaret an enormous debt of gratitude.
Margaret will always be a Red Cross volunteer and holds a place of honor in our hearts for all of her time, effort and hard work. We are very grateful to have had a chance to know and work with Margaret England.
