The Calhoun County Chapter of the American Red Cross, in partnership with the American Legion Post 298 riders, extends a heartfelt thanks to all of the sponsors, supporters, and volunteers of our Second Annual Ride for the Red event, which was held on Saturday, June 6, 2009. We would like to also thank the Battle Creek Police Motorcycle Unit, Sgt. Tracey Chambers of the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department, and the Springfield Police for their assistance in making this a successful event.
In addition, we would like to specifically thank Sgt. Bruce Pienning and Sgt. Kraig Dingman of the Battle Creek Police Motorcycle Unit for their welcomed input and guidance in helping us plan and prepare for this annual fundraiser. Sgt. Pienning and Sgt. Dingman also served as police escorts for the entire 80-mile motorcycle ride that extended throughout our service region of Calhoun and Branch counties. This service ensured a safe and fun ride for all who participated.
