| In Memory of Dedicated Red Cross Volunteers

In recent months, our chapter has lost some very dedicated volunteers due to death. Our hearts and deepest sympathy go out to their families.
Dean Wiltse – Dean had been a Red Cross Volunteer for 25 years serving in various capacities through the years. Most recently, Dean was the chairwoman of volunteers for the Red Cross inpatient program at BCHS. She was also a longtime board member, served on numerous committees' and dutifully helped others who were dealing with cancer through her volunteerism in the oncology department at the hospital.
Henry Hirsch – Henry had been a Red Cross Volunteer for 20 years. Henry was the former Albion Blood Bank Coordinator and most recently volunteered at the blood drives. Through his consistent donation of blood through the years, he was on the "Red Cross High Gallon Donor" list.
Omer Crowe – Omer had been a Red Cross Volunteer for 10 years and had recently retired due to health concerns. Omer worked at the blood drives and delivered canteens
for the chapter. Omer was also a blood donor and at the age of 90, was still giving others the "Gift of Life".
Let Johnson – Let had been a Red Cross Volunteer for 10 years when he had to retire due to his health. Let worked at blood drives, did special projects around the chapter and assisted with special events.
Connie Heywood – Connie had been a Red Cross Volunteer for 8 years serving in a number of different functions. Connie worked at blood drives, health fairs, and spent many hours compiling mailings for the chapter – both at the chapter and at home.
These most precious volunteers will be deeply missed. They touched the lives of many!
