"Teaching Safety to Children"
Masters of Disaster teaches elementary, middle and junior high school students the skills and knowledge they need to prepare for, recognize, and recover from hazards and disasters in their home, school, or community. The program is designed for three specific age groups; K-2, 3-5, and 6-8. Each module includes age-appropriate lessons.
Kids learn how to prevent injuries at home and how to stay safe in the event of a disaster, including floods, tornados, lightening, home fires, or winter storms. The following are available for each class:
- Exciting videos showcasing how and why disasters occur
- Hands–on activities
- Certificates for those completing the class
- Take home disaster coloring book
