Help with Manikin Decontamination Needed
The Calhoun / Branch County Chapter of the American Red Cross is in need of volunteers in the Health & Safety Department to decontaminate the CPR manikins after they are used at CPR classes. We are seeking 1–2 volunteers for this position. The need is great as we have a lot of seasonal volunteers who will be leaving for warmer climates soon.
There are many different types of classes held in Calhoun and Branch counties. This is a very rewarding position for dependable people. The manikins that are used at the American Red Cross classes help class participants learn how to save lives during an emergency. In order for us to keep up on Health requirements the manikins used at classes need to be decontaminated after every use.
Some of the duties performed and requirements of Red Cross Health & Safety volunteers include but are not limited to:
- Cleaning manikins after each class and preparing them for the next class.
- Loading and unloading class supplies from vehicles before and after classes.
- Working with the Health & Safety Coordinator to ensure the proper supplies are sent to each class.
- Running errands or delivering supplies (valid driver's license with clear driving history is required.)
- Lifting up to 30 pounds.
- General Office help during slow times - organizing, filing, phone help, etc..
- MUST be dependable and responsible.
This position is a great opportunity for couples or friends who want to volunteer together. No previous experience is required. Any interested parties may apply in person at:
