Volunteer of the Week, Joy Neulieb

 Joy Neulieb began her volunteer career in September of 2005 right after hurricane Katrina devastated so many homes and lives. She was compelled to help when she saw the catastrophic conditions of those affected by the hurricane. This was her call to duty for the American Red Cross.
Joy has been on one national disaster assignment and in 2006 she accumulated over 1,650 hours of volunteer service hours. She has received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award and the Disaster Action Team Member Award. Joy has dedicated her time to the emergency services department of the American Red Cross on a daily basis. Joy assists clients that are victims of disaster and assists the Armed Forces and their families with communication messages and financial assistance. Joy has organized volunteers for the Calhoun County Fair and is currently working to establish resources for pets during disasters.
Joy also volunteers her time at V.A. Hospital helping our veterans and their families. Joy is always on the go visiting with friends and family and sometimes you can find her enjoying a good book and a cup of coffee at her favorite store.
The most heartfelt thank you could not begin to describe how much Joy means to those that she works with and those that she aids in times of crisis. We can only be humbled by this Joy's immense desire to make a difference daily in the lives of others.
