A four-day babysitting camp aimed for students age 11-15 teaches students how to be a safe and responsible and FUN babysitters!
During the camp, participants learned how important leadership is in babysitting, how to make good decisions while on the job, and some good business practices to get their business started. Basic care skills such as holding infants and toddlers, feeding infants and children, and diapering are essential in babysitting and were also taught in the course.

They also used their imagination to think of safe, fun and exciting games to play with the kids they babysit.
In addition, they were taught basic first aid skills such as checking a child for injuries, bandaging a wound, how to care for conscious choking, checking an unconscious infant/child and rescue breathing.
Along with the babysitting training, the future babysitters of America had an opportunity to take home an infant simulator. The Baby Think It Over Program showed the students firsthand how hard it is to care for an infant twenty-four hours a day. The baby coos and giggles when happy, cries when it needs fed or its diaper changed and needs to be held and supported just like a real infant.
The cost of the Babysitter′s Training with Baby Think It Over Class is $42.00 per person and due at registration. Included in the price is a free Babysitting Handbook full of tips and helpful advice. Available at the class are Babysitting Kits which include a first aid kit, a family information and emergency notepad, pen, and flashlight.
The next babysitting class is September 28th at 6:00pm - 9:00pm and September 29th from 10:00am - 4:00pm.
Students must be at all class sessions to become certified.
