American Red Cross of Calhoun County Clown
Troupe
Red Cross Clown and New Clown of the Year are Recognized
 |
At the December Meeting, Red Cross Clown "Clitis," Phil Smith of Marshall was
awarded the Clown of the Year Award by Troupe Representative Charles Rutter.
"Clitis" was recognized for always being on the job, getting things moving, and new
ideas to keep the troupe vital. There are many things "Clitis" does that are
visible, but he remains in the background. He helps with the class in training of
new Clowns, building floats, juggling balls or sharing a pleasant smile. "Clitis" is also
the troupe president and is the troupe inspiration to get things done.

Also, at the December Meeting, Red Cross Clown "Scruffy" (Ed Miller of Coldwater)
was awarded the New Clown of the Year Award. "Scruffy" is new to the Calhoun
County Red Cross Clown Troupe and is a great asset to the troupe.
"Scruffy" was presented his award by Troupe Representative Duane Walters.
"Scruffy" helped this past year by participating in many clown events,
including fund raisers, Christmas Parties, Picnics, Parades and helping build the
Christmas Float, just to name a few.
