Canteen Drivers Needed
The Calhoun / Branch County Chapter of the American Red Cross is in need of canteen drivers. We are seeking up to a dozen volunteers for these counties. The need is great as we have a lot of seasonal volunteers who will be leaving for warmer climates soon. There are many different blood drives held in many different areas of Calhoun and Branch counties. These are rewarding positions for dependable people. The canteen that is delivered by the driver includes the juice, coffee, cookies, pins, etc. that are used at American Red Cross blood drives.
Some of the duties performed and requirements by Red Cross blood drive volunteers include but are not limited to:
- MUST possess a valid drivers license with a clear driving history.
- Delivering the canteen to different locations throughout Calhoun and Branch Counties.
- Setting up the canteen before the blood drives.
- Picking up the canteen after the blood drives.
- Lifting up to 30 pounds.
- MUST be dependable and responsible.
These positions are great for couples and friends who want to volunteer together. No previous experience is required. You must be 21 and in good general health. Any interested parties may apply in person at:
